I am so excited to FINALLY reach week 5! I’ve had to restart the program from week 3, two times because I had a back injury and wanted to see the real results consecutively not with breaks. Even though I do workout 3-4 days out of the week at the gym along with turbo. I’m a girl on a mission. :)
So I made it without any injury and I’m excited!
Week 5 has commenced - 15 more weeks to go!

I’ve been meaning to write this for quite some time. Now, I’m no expert but through many years of trial and error, fad diets, pills, etc., I have found the true secret to weight loss.
DIET AND EXERCISE
It really is that simple.
I’m sick of people suggesting gastric bypass, lap band surgery, HCG, Slimfast and all these irrelevant methods to lose weight. Granted, there are some cases where its crucial to proceed with surgical methods. BUT if you are able to walk, you are able to lose weight on your own. It all comes down to you, no one else can do it for you. Remember, it took YEARS for you to put on the weight so nothing will happen over night. It might take one or two or maybe even three years to finally reach your goal.
Here’s what I have done/do to be successful in my weight loss journey:
There is no magic pill to success in anything in life. You have to work for it. Think of weight loss as you would school or a job. You have to study, do projects and finally take the test to pass. And so it is for your fitness goals.
I went to the emergency room last night and it turns out I have strep throat. Yeah, I KNOW?! It sucks, I havent had proper food in the past 3 days and my doctor says I have to stay on a liquid diet for the next 2-3 until my tonsils get better.
What does a dieter who workouts eat while on a liquid diet? Suggestions?
Follow these tips and you’ll be a healther, happier you!
- Accept yourself
Becoming more accepting of yourself can lead you to greater happiness and a more fulfilling life. Find your positive qualities and focus on them, they are what makes you, you. You must also accept your imperfections. Instead of dwelling on the things you can’t change, accept them for what they are.- Slow down
Stressed? Angry? Overwhelmed? In these times, the only things busier than our schedules are our minds. Slown down, take a break, breathe, meditate, anything to calm yourself down. Yes, things may need to get done, but we can slow down our minds and at least notice the joys found in our ability to do all these things. We miss most of life by not being present in the moment and thinking about that next thing we’ve got to do.- Let go of the small things
If you don’t, it will forever bother you. Something didn’t go your way? Who cares! Move on and find something new to focus on. If you dwell on the past you won’t be able to realize your bright future! If you stop letting little things bother you, you’ll instantly begin to feel happier.- Change your environment
If your surroundings are a mess, your life is likely to be a mess as well. Clean up, organize, decorate! Make your space comfortable to be in. Let some sunlight in, pop your space with bright colors, all these things will improve your mood and lead to a happier you!- Be grateful for what you have
Every single day, count your blessings. Even when the negatives seem to outweigh the positives, you are still alive. As long as you are alive, you will always have something to be thankful for.
